last week in literacy the whole class did the 100 word challenge. It was quite hard because we had to do it in exactly 100 words! We did a description of what a man and his robot find when they are in the jungle. We all had crazy ideas and here is mine.

 The glowing multicoloured slime covered alien was a colossal one hundred feet tall and utterly terrifying. Its claws were blades and fast like sports cars. It was one of the most disgusting creatures with two bodies, seven legs and eyes everywhere. There were extremely sharp teeth on its feet, as black as the darkest winter night. The trumendous roar could shatter all the glass in the world. It was smothered in blood and body parts of helpless victims. It was a slimey giant monster and with one smipe could knock down the empire state building.Far too scary to look at.

In the beautiful clearing, there was leopard. It was covered in hair as gold as the sun. With black spots on his back. He was sniffing the clear air with his little black nose. His eyes were beady marbles, his ears were sharp daggers. With every movement of wind he turned his head quickly to catch any trace of scent. It’s fur was as soft as a new born baby’s touch. The leopard was as quick as light. His legs were as strong as a metal, iron bar. Its body was as thick and muscular like a strong sprinter.

Violet

Sats is now over. Year 6 show is coming up soon and so is PGL. Time flys. Year 6 are very excited and they can't stop talking about it. Some people in year 6 think that now sats is over we can always have freetime and not learn. Unfortunatley the people who thought that are wrong. We will now be doing all the things we did before sats e.g. Maths, Literacy, PE, Sience, Project, Assebly and French. But we will have loads of fun. Since PGL is so close we have talked about what you need to take, rules, what we will be doing and loads more. Teachers have also sent letters out about PGL.There was also a letter about the Year 6 show. Year 6 didn't find out what the show was until yesterday. It will be a show based on Grease.

Bring long sleeve t-shirts to PGL. Our PGL trip is the 28th of May till the 1st of June. Year 6 show auditions are on the 22nd of May. If you are doing a group audition remeber to learn your script and if your doinng a solo audition have a song ready to sing and practice, practice, practice your script!!!

In two weeks and one day year 6 are going to a place called PGL.PGL is where you grt to do lots of activetys and really  fun sports you only go PGL a cuple of weeks after your sacts.In PGL you get to sleep in little shalaes with one of your friends but girls sleep with girls and boys sleep with boys you can't have boys and girls mix together.we are going on the monday  28th may and we stay their for 4 days and on monday we have to be at school between 10:00 or10:30 

Next week on the 28th of may year 6 are going to P.G.L for a week.

We will be doing lots of different activities,

• Rowing
• Swimming
• Absailing
• Zipline

and many more

Tuesday 15th May: 9.15-10.45 - Long Writing (Internal assessment)

Wednesday 16th May: 9.15-10.45 - Mental Maths and Maths Paper A

Thursday 17th May: 9.15-10.45 - Maths Paper B

Please arrive PROMPTLY and be ready at your desk at 9am.

SATS Breakfast Club - If you have booked breakfast you can come in from 8.00am to 8.30.

In Literacy we have now moved on from Nelson Mandela and now we’re looking at short stories. I personally think it’s much harder writing a short story because in a long story you can just go on and on with all the paragraphs and interesting sentences. In a short story you can still use interesting sentences. You can use similes and metaphors. What do you prefer? So far in Literacy we have wrote two short stories one was  called Tuesday which is about flying frogs and the other one was a short story we chose ourselves. I did the Very Lazy Ladybird.

Every Tuesday rosendale have been doing a after school ruby training club for year 5 and 6.

It is at the Rosendale fields and a man named Mark is there to help with his partner.
